Wailua River+ waterfall Adventure

This was an amazingly scenic and fun day we had. We kayaked up the Wailua river and then hiked to the sweetest waterfall that we had all to ourselves for a little while!

KAUAI- Day one

Kauai officially has my heart. As soon as I stepped off the plane, I felt like I had come home. Living for a week on the North Shore was amazing, surreal, and incredibly peaceful. We got to explore the many beauties the island has to offer, from hikes, to surfing Pine Trees, to a North Shore coast boat adventure, to swimming and snorkeling right out in front of our beach house, to bonfires in the sand. Many many many thanks to the amazing Fairfield's for including me on this life changing trip!

Graduations

This blog thing needs a little love and updating!! These past couple of months have been a whirlwind of events. From Cody's, Alex's and Erica's graduation, to Kauai, to bachelorette celebrations, life has been good and blessed with amazing people along the way.

 Proud parents!

Nana stoked on her ice cream.

The best seats in the house!

 Getting that diploma!

SO proud.

He was tired of the picture taking, so he sat down in the closest available seat.

Green

Its already April!
That means two things in my book. 1.) Its birthday month! And 2.) summer is so so close! My roommates and I have been experimenting with Green Smoothies the last few months, and came across one that is so good, I just had to share it. Its a super simple, easy, healthy way to start your day, and get all your servings of your greens for that day.
A quick bit of advice, unless you have a fancy blender, be sure to pre chop your green leaves and then blend those with your liquid first. This will help keep your smoothie from being too chunky with leave bits, and will keep your smoothie from warming up from the motor and blade since your throwing smaller bits in first. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 Carrots
3 Kale stalks, peeled from the stem and chopped
4 Spinach bunches, chopped
6-8 inches of a cucumber
1 apple, stemmed
a few ice cubes or frozen berries
1/2- 1 cup of liquid (I used half almond milk, half water).
