Wedding DIY

I have been on the hunt for those awesome blue vintage mason jars, but havent had much luck. So after much frusteration, I decided to try to make them myself (thanks to google). Headed over to Michaels, bought Martha Stewart glass paint, a fan brush, and a set of mason jars from Smart and Final and got started!

Step 1: find an old piece of tupperware that you dont mind parting with after this project. You'll be using this to put your mason jars in so it doesnt drip and stain your permanent surfaces.

Step 2: Turn the mason jar upside down (open side down) and using vertical strokes, paint the jar. It will look alittle streaky, but most of that will go away when you bake the final product.

Step 3: let dry for at least 6 hours; then heat the oven to 325 and bake for 30 minutes.

30 day smoothie challenge

So I've decided to take on the 30-day smoothie challenge. It basically consists of replacing one meal with a green smoothie. So far, day one, I'm loving it. The two gals who started it emailed out a grocery list and the first 5 smoothie recipes, making it super east to start and maintain this challenge. My first smoothie was DELICIOUS. Even my brother was stoked on it! 1 cup kale; 1 cup spinach; 1 cup frozen pineapple; 1/2 cup mango+ almond milk. Topped it off with chia seeds.
